Citcom.ai-UV will take part in the 3rd Sedipualb@ Congress to explore the potential of artificial intelligence in public administration
We are delighted to announce that, on 29th October, our Citcom.ai-UV research team will be taking part in the first of the two days of the 3rd Sedipualb@ Congress, to be held at the Teatro Circo in Albacete. The programme will address various challenges facing digital transformation in public administrations and the role of artificial intelligence in this process; as such, the congress will bring together professionals from different institutions to share experiences and reflect on issues relating to administrative management and the digitalisation of the public sector.

In this context, our team member Emilio Soria-Olivas, who is also a Professor at the University of Valencia, will speak at the aforementioned conference at around 1.30 pm, delivering a presentation entitled ‘Truths (and lies) about AI: are we losing our way?’. The aim of the presentation will be to highlight, amongst other topics, the work we are carrying out as part of the European Citcom.ai project, particularly in the field of public administration, thereby bringing our research activities closer to the public sector professionals attending the event.
Beyond the expectations raised by artificial intelligence, this presentation will provide an opportunity to reflect on its real potential in public administration. The focus is not merely on incorporating new technologies, but on identifying which needs they can address and how to develop useful applications that respond to the specific challenges faced by public institutions.
For our team, taking part in the 3rd Sedipualb@ Congress represents a unique opportunity to share our experience and engage in dialogue with those working in public administration. This exchange brings the research perspective closer to the realities of public administration and encourages a shared reflection on the opportunities offered by AI, whilst recognising the importance of assessing its usefulness in each specific context, and continues to pave the way for future collaborations on various projects that seek to integrate it into their day-to-day operations.
Furthermore, the event will raise the profile of the European Citcom.ai project amongst professionals involved in the digital transformation of their institutions. The diversity of topics included in the programme provides a framework for exploring the links between research, technology and public administration, as well as for exchanging perspectives on the development of artificial intelligence applications tailored to real-world needs.

It’s going to be a really interesting day, we look forward to seeing you there! For more information about the event and to register, please visit the official event website.
